1. Can we put the deposit on a Credit Card?

2. Is the POF-USA 30 Day Return Policy still in effect? mainly "If your are not satisfied with the product, return it for a full refund (less shipping cost!)"

3. Any idea on ETA and cost of sig-556
thanks

Hey guys,

1. Yes you can put the deposit on a credit card.

2. I will find out about the POF warranty but I assume it would apply as this is their product. I will call them and ask tomorrow.

3. As soon as my distributor gets the SIG556 in, 30 seconds later I will post here.

I will let the list in on a secret, I am working with a business contact in Germany that knows the owner of SIG Germany and I am working on getting real SIG 10 round Mags, furniture, complete lowers (upper is registered) and dipoter sites for the 556 that would make the 556 look like a 550,551.

Thanks,
Chris

CWS is the exclusive dealer for the lower. But the problem is that POF went with their own upper build thus a DPMS will somewhat work but will leave a slight gap in the rear. Based on the COBB exp, buying a complete rifle is the best option because at the end, the lower will be selling for more than what the true value... Do a search on the Cobb lower for sale...You will get the point....:D

I believe we have until April... Call Chris to place the 50% deposit.

Good choice...The 20" is the way to go.

List,

Basically it is first in, first out. There is no time frame but the people that order now will be more toward the front of the line. I can take a credit card for the deposit and bascially will call POF and put you on the list via my company and I will pay them your 1/2 deposit. When it is ready and they get to your name they will call me asking for the 2nd 1/2 of the payment. When I give them that they will ship to me. I then make it California legal and off to your FFL it goes.

Hope this all helps.

Also POF told me only their uppers will fit their lowers and that they will not be selling lowers solo for a long time...

Thanks,
Chris

Yeah I don't want another 16" .308 rifle. I've got a Socom and a PTR with a 16" and a FAL with a 18" barrel. Plus all my AR type builds are 16" barrels.

Here's the backstory on those Gunbroker Cobb lowers. I happen to have picked up two of 'em... $325 apiece, which is WAY under wholesale. Why? Simple - they came from c3sports.

The owner of c3sports claims to be a part owner in Cobb, and had purchased a large number of Cobb lowers early on (I'm guessing just to clear out some stock over at Cobb... no idea why). This was WELL before general availability of Cobb uppers, so he was sitting on those things for a while.

Now that the rest of the rifle is available, c3sports is selling off their stockpile of Cobb lowers. However, they're significantly different from the final product. I need to get around to posting pics of that funky squared-off trigger guard at some point.

Anyway, what I'm getting at is that the existence of early-stock Cobb lowers being sold off for $325 doesn't mean that final production-model Cobb lowers for $900 are just marked up from $325.

Grammton,
Appreciate the feedback. When the lowers was available for $900.00 to $1100.00, the complete Cobb rifle was available for under $1700.00 from an out of state FFL (not LanWorld). Thus I dont want to make that type of just the lower purchase. That's the point I was trying to make.

Ah, hadn't heard of that. I thought you guys were talking about the ones on Gunbroker for $325.

So I haven't shot a 20" AR before. And I see most of you want the 20" one. What are the pro/cons in this rifle between the 16" and 20"?

The short version... Longer barrel produces a higher velocity out the hole, providing better accuracy at a longer distance, given the same ammo, conditions, and operator skills...

Was it these guys? They aren't even in stock yet... http://www.knesekguns.com/price.php#6

I'm kinda curious where this out of stater is, given that I have a pair of cobb lowers...

Anyone bought the Sabre Defence lower? Does it have the cougar pictogram?

I was wondering this myself, but I talked to Chris at Lanworld, and he said they only have text roll marks, no pictures. I woudld like the cougar, but I kind of like the plain jane look.
