Looks like it could be easily adapted to be fed with strippers.

I wonder who will work with Magpul to get these babies imported with pinned mags.

Why feed with stripper clips? Use the button mag release - it takes AR magazines, it likely uses a very similar magazine catch mechanism.

This little modular beauty also has an AK (.223 mag) lower. So you can go the fixed 10 round .223 levered AK magazine route. No need to break it open to load. I want one so bad. Here's some Masada porn.

Great concept, but far, far from ready for production. It's going to need a solid year or two of testing.

And Magpul is definitely a company that is known for producing a great product, and they've even said that it's going to be a year or two before anyone can buy one. I trust they'll make the appropriate and necessary changes to make it one hell of a great rifle.

Is magpul selling a civilian model in other states yet? Or is it all prototypes at this stage?

EDIT: read Xenos comment, whoops.. Beautiful rifle nonetheless.

All prototypes were made as semi-autos. I hope they are selling to civilian market.

There was an article in SAR magazine covering all of the SCAR/ XM8 submissions from the various manufacturers. Wish I could remember which issue though. I have always preferred a smooth design for a rifle. Less sharp edges to snag, less crevices to collect dirt

The Masada was greatly influenced by the FN SCAR project. They realized that it was the rifle to beat. The Masada is based off the AR-180 platform.

$1400 is MSRP.

Did the FNH SCAR-L or SCAR-H ever make it into civilian hands? And if so, are their any lucky Californians who've acquired them?
