what do you think? (first time posting... hope the image comes thru)

The image did come thru, it was removed due to legal concerns. We don't like to see anyone incriminate themselves.

From that angle it looks like you created a thumbhole stock. I would be careful....

NO!

I hope you did that to your registered AW receiver or the magazine is fixed, because if you didn't, you just created an assault weapon.

You will need to extend it all the way to the lower. You basically have a thumbhole stock.

If you are looking for a different approach, I have an extra grip for my Beach Cruiser and a drink holder

Whats the point of the ugly and expensive u-15 then?

Prison for sure. Notice he hasn't replied back. He is already in custody.

Image came through pretty clear!!!

Maybe if you hung the cheek rest around the buffer tube solely and it was a little more functionally contoured, I would not create a thumb hole type of uh... configuration.

The point is that he's hoping that the OP had a fixed magazine so that he was not creating an assault weapon.

This is what makes the vagueness:confused: of the "thumbhole stock" definition a major advantage to the DOJ. "Thumb penetrating through" even though it does NOT allow a pistol style grasp. Major suck!:(

I think with a little more work you could create a stable cheek rest that doesn't touch the body of the U-15, thereby preventing the appearance of a thumbhole stock. I imagine the trick would be finding a suitably sturdy material to use as well as finding a good way to afix it in place.

Would be an interesting project to work on :)

the cheek rest is separate from the stock.... does not even touch it. technically not a 'thumbhole' IMHO. Thanks for the input. I was responding to someone's message that a cheek rest would be nice....so, I just tried a couple of things.....nothing permanent.....

Hi,

Yes, a nice tactical looking slip on cheek-rest would be a plus for the U-15.
