Argggg! I have all the parts to reconfigure my varmint upper:

Les Baer low profile gas block, .938
YHM lightweight free float forearm, Specter length
YHM end cap
Midwest Industries rail mounted front flip sight
Magpul ladder rail protectors

But I forgot to order the YHM forearm wrench until the next day. I got everything in by Friday except the wrench! I'm sure it will arrive on Tuesday. I was looking forward to reconfiguring my rifle this weekend :(

Is there anybody in the Orange County area that has a YHM forearm wrench that I can borrow for a day? I'm not sure if a standard armorers wrench includes the "spanner" wrench for tightening the jam nut. Basically I have to replace the barrel nut and tighten up the jam nut.

You can use a "standard"USGI pin barrel nut wrench as long as the barrel isn't over 1" in diameter IIRC for the barrel nut and a couple of $10 strap wrenches for the forearm tube.

Problem is the only applicable wrench I have is a strap wrench and it is too wide for the jam nut. I guess I'll just have to wait for UPS on Tuesday.

You can tighten the YHM locknut with a screwdriver/punch and a hammer... if you are careful.

Be careful--do it right the first time with the right tool.

I used the screwdriver and hammer method... Works every time.

Yeah, Jack you are right. I just found out that UPS is working today so hopefully it will be here this afternoon.
