View Full Version : Need advice on a entry level scope

I have recently purchased a mossin and want to put a scope on it. Cost is a factor. I am looking for a scope that has hight and windage click adjustment knobs(not the kind you ned a screwdriver for). The rifle is less than $100 so nothing to expensive. I would most likely use it for target shooting as I am not much of a hunter. Any suggestions out there.

well Mosin's don't lend themselves well to mounting a scope. Usually the easiest option is to go with a scout scope setup. You don't have to drill and tap the rifle for mounts, you just remove the rear sight leaf and install a mount there and use a pistol scope.

as for a scope any pistol scope that has a long eye relief. I have used the NcStar scopes and they seem to work OK.
