I came across a box of opened MRE plastic bags that I saved for ?? whatever reason. I am wondering if anyone has a do it yourself way of resealing these bags with a heat gun, glue etc?? I have plenty of MRE "parts" meals that I can make to my liking, but I want to make the bags waterproof/bugproof like they were originally sealed. Any ideas??

A vacuum sealer or common iron? I've used both and work well.

I have used an iron on foodgrade mylar bags extensively, but I have never tried it on a MRE bag. It MAY be the same....

Surfed around the internet and found a source about sealing MRE bags and MRE's in general. Also has recall notices on sealed food products. Forum has a good source of info.
