Unfortunately they have gone up in price over the years.. Big5 has them around $219 down to $189 when they go on sale.....I haven't seen them any cheaper.....I paid $129 for my first one back in '99 and I got REAL lucky on my last one.. I got it for $90 from one of my HP shooters last year,.. he bought it back in '67 for $60... he said he shot less than 500rnds through it..... it even has a real walnut stock.....like I said I got real lucky.. I haven;t seen a used 10/22 in any gunshop... I imagine they go REAL quick.......

define cheap... unfortunately, the dros and tax are around 20 percent of a $200 rifle purchase. a 10/22 is a good one to lump on top of another long gun purchase to minimize the dros fee.

I though about getting a 10/22 just because. but I find it more entertaining to beg my mother to let me have her heirloom one from my grandfather...still working on that.

Yeah, I'd take a 10/22 over a conversion. I have a two rifle case with only one rifle in it, so why not :p

Buying a conversion kit for my 1911 was a mistake, I should have just bought a .22 pistol.

didnt like your conversion kit? i was thinking about getting one. i guess for the same price you'll get another pistol instead of some parts. :D

No such thing as a cheap 10/22 anymore. I've seen complete actions minus barrel and stock sell for over $160 on gunbroker.
