I am not a machinist or gunsmith, but I was wondering if someone else could design my idea of an improved bullet button.

I would like to see a button that can be easily converted back to a standard mag release with minimal work. I'd like to be able to go to Nevada and turn a bolt a couple of times like the original maglocks and have a fully functional AR.

As I understand it, this could be accomplished with a magetic bullet button cover. It could automatically stick to the surface and be installed and uninstalled in a matter of seconds.

What do you guys think about this improvement.

I feel that mine was an easy transition but it wasn't a Bullet button yet.
Below are pics of my first design for those that haven't seen it yet.

This first design will be made again in a very limited quantity as well at the new design.

I do have a PIN-MAG-LOCK coming soon. It will be encapsulated so that there are no parts to lose. It will take a .125 diameter pin to drop the mag.

About a month out or so that is if I can find the parts I need to purchase to make my design work.

just design yourself some "bullet gloves" so that it is just as easy no matter what state you live in!
