Howdy all,
I recently picked up a Steyr SSG 69 (Thanks Techenigma!) and was looking for a source for a spare 5 round magazine and a factory sling.

I was all set to slap a spare Turner Saddlery sling (http://turnersling.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TS&Product_Code=NMPTRS&Category_Code=PTS) on it but the integrated sling swivels are 1" and the Turner sling is 1.25". Oh well.

I've already checked the usual suspects; GunBroker, AuctionArms, GunsAmerica and even eBay, but got snake eyes on everything.

Any ideas or sources?

Check steyrclub.com

One of their posts said "Contact Jack at Steyr USA...he said they were going to carry them...I believe he quoted $100 a mag."

Ouch! Thanks, I'll check there.

Cheers!

Be careful... those rotary mags like to split when they impact the ground.

I found this thread over on TheHighRoad.org (http://www.thehighroad.org/index.php)

Good Morning,

What caliber is your SSG Pll? If it is a .308, I have magazines available marked .308WIN, item number 2900050502, in stock and will have magazines marked 7.62x51 (metric .308WIN), item number 2900050501, later . There are no 10 round magazines for the SSG available, nor will there be in the near future.

The 5 round magazines are $39.00 each, plus $10.00 for shipping and handling (which will be good for up to 2 magazines shipped within the continental US).

Sincerely,

Jack Riddle

Called him yesterday and ordered two plus the sling. They had the sling in stock but the magazines are (hopefully) about 40 days out.

We'll see.
