I took my family to this a week ago. What a display! 4 warehouses full of tanks from WWI to modern times. Two Scud missiles (one Soviet, one Desert Storm). A Panzer across from a Sherman, just to give the idea of scale. A Radar armored vehicle towering above us (DON'T TURN IT ON!).

RPGs from WWII that the British made (spring loaded!). Newer ones, too. Chopped M1 Garands for motorcycles, and tank engines.

The docent knew his history and tank construction. My chiropractor/scout leader is taking his group soon. I can't recommend this display enough. All the members in my family, from age 20s-50s loved the museum and learning more about the history.

Located above Palo Alto/Menlo Park. Maps will be sent once signed up.

Ah, the Jacques Littlefield collection. It was incredible. A group of us led by Manic Moran toured the place in Dec '08.

I've been there 4 times or so, It was really awesome going into the work shop when they were working on the Panther. I saw it as a rusted out hulk, to being worked on, to being almost complete and finally fully restored.

I read an account of a British soldier in Burma, WW2. The spring in the PIAT was so heavy he had to lay on the ground with his feet on the base of the launcher and heave the cocking handle up to the latched position. Hope I can go to the museum sometime. I've been to the Patton museum and the collection that used to be at APG, this one is worth seeing too.
