... and why?

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/1/11/PA-63_with_Clip.jpg/300px-PA-63_with_Clip.jpg

1) I like how it's the only Makarov-style pistol that's two-tone
2) They still sell for excellent prices, and the ammo (9x18mm Makarov) is cheap
3) They hit harder then a .380
4) Small, good for concealed carry
and, 5) I talked the guy down to 160 from 200 :D

Must be all the haggling experience I've acquired in other countries, haha.

I had a kimber in 45 and wanted to stay with the same caliber, the 13 round capacity was a turn on, and a few army buddies had them and loved them.

Really like that pistol, op. I need a similar one in my collection at some point .

Interarms IAC AK-74. I guess I kind of like being 'different' and going with a less common company. Hear great reviews and have been lusting over an AK for some time now. I went with 5.45x39 because the ammo is very cheap, especially compared to my Swedish Mauser. It's on layaway right now, don't know exactly when it's coming to CA/

Custom FN 98 mauser built by Dan Dwyer. Dan Dwyer was a great local gunsmith and I knew the rifle had to be built with the highest level of craftsmanship. To me it's also a piece of San Diego history.

nice purchase; congratulations.

Thanks, the ad said they wouldn't be in stock for a few weeks so I only had to come up with a third of the cost to lock in the sale price and save my place in line. The rest isn't due until they get them in which I figure won't be until the first part of November.

Actually ... my wife bought my last gun two weeks ago.
She was buying herself a Walther P22 and there was an old revolver in the case. Knowing I'm always interested in C&R she bought it too. We shot them that afternoon. She loves the P22 and I find it telling that the 922 trigger is much better than the Taurus 94 I picked up a couple of months ago.

Why? because its a pretty neat .22 that works with all my current rig.

SW 3913 because I always wanted one since I was a kid and I saw my uncles 908 with wood grips... CG marketplace is so awesome a nice guy had his listed for a while in my area I eyeballed for quite sometime didn't want to lowball him but I figured if I offered what I could maybe just maybe he would say yes.. And he ended up selling me his dirt cheap in excellent condition with box and paper work..super nice guy.. and the same week I ppt it a guy on ebay listed a set of hogue wood grips the exact ones I wanted for only 30 bucks new.. They retail for almost a hundred... Anyone who knows about 3913 smiths knows I should mark this one up in the "dumb luck" and "it was meant to be" category I still smile when I open my safe I'm never partin with it

(I don't know anything about that site, I just googled for a picture)

Just because I wanted to go nuts in the desert in between training with my pistol.

I'm almost wishing I would have got the basic one instead of the Blackwater because although I like the top rail and the xs sights that it comes with, I'm guessing I'd prefer the feel of the regular forearm and don't want to mount anything on that part of the gun.

But I got it because it had the free sight upgrade and the top picatinny, and I figure I can sell the tri-rail and put in the regular one.

Grats!! That's next on my list (after an OLL).

I was looking at the VTR as well, but finally decided that the extra expense and mixed reviews were just not worth it compared to the tried and true versions, like the one you got right there.

You'd like the target I just bought. a half inch thick gong of armor plate and a stand I made out of pipe :33:

Good luck with the OLL. Remember not to go crazy with the spending there so you still have some money left over a bolt action rifle. :) Trust me, I've gone through 10+ versions through the years and finally am happy with the current one I have.
