Very nice. I went to pick up my MP 15 Sport from turners at reseda today and found that it has a scratches on the barrel. Manager of the store agreed to change it but have to wait for one more week and also he is saying that he cant guarantee that the other one wont have scratches and its very common on this rifle.

Is it true that almost all of them come with some kind of scratches from factory? or the manager is just bull ****ting?

thanks

How's the accuracy of the gun? I am intrigued because according to spec, the M&P-15 Sports uses 5R rifling which is not normally found on most other AR vendors, and usually this type of rifling are used on precision bolt guns.

Maybe it's Turners thats scratching them. I have 2 M&P15's and both came scratch free.

Looks good! I really, really like the M&P 15 sport. Great price, everything you need, nothing you don't. I'd get it but I figured I'd just build since I want it a certain way. It'll come out cheaper than changing out the stuff on the sport anddd I really don't want two 5.56 AR-15's.

I just picked it up earlier at Reeds, and UPS just dropped off the accessories today too. 400 bucks for the eotech at Brownells with a coupon code. No scratched on my rifle or barrel. Just cleaned and lubed it for now, and boresighted the HS. Can't wait to shoot this!

Nice, congrats! Those seem like a good deal. I am big into building, but these days you spend more money doing it than you save.

Sounds like bull**** to me. Those barrels are nitrided (melonite, whatever its called). THey are HARD, and HARD to scratch. Its a similiar protection as glocks have...

Only ****ty parts to these guns is the carbine gas on a 16" barrel, when it should be mid length gas system, and the missing dust cover.

That's B.S.! if the replacement is scratched too then demand your money back and take it somewhere else, new guns shouldn't have any scratches! unless they are willing to knock $150.00 off! from the amount you paid for. :)

Picked up my MP 15 Sport today. Do you think $672 out of the door ($589+DROS+ Tax) is a good deal?

Thanks

That's a fantastic deal. Who wouldve thought you would see the day when quality ar's can be had at almost the same price as aks.

ChaneRZ
