I ordered one of these off Gunbroker, and they will ship to CA without PG's and with 10rd mags. I just got off the phone with them (paying for mine LOL) and they are just starting out and can use the business. These are rivet builds and she said they're up most nights building them LOL.

Anybody know of a FFL in Northern California that would transfer one of these gripless AKs?

Just spoke to Doug and his wife at outlimits, they'd like everyone to just hold off for a bit before placing any orders. They're currently looking into the legalities.

I just got off the phone with Machelle right now as well, and being as they live in the boonies, no cable or DSL available, so anything online is by phone and phone alone on one line. So give a few days for them to catch up on the emails and I'm sure they'll get to the phone calls.

They are looking forward to doing business with us here in the Commie state, and envy the weather, they're expecting another foot of snow tonight.

Have a great Kenpo day

How much work does it take to get one of these Romanian kits together? Does it take any gunsmithing or expensive tools, or is it just one of those "some pliers and a case of beer" builds. I know I would need a receiver and some USA parts, but isn't a stamped AK receiver pretty cheap? I wouldn't mind having an AK for <$200. :)

I hope they do, but in these two threads it sounds like they won't:

Got an email from Machelle today and she says that her contacts in CA advise her not to ship these rifles to CA, she didn't give me names or positions.

Oh well, lots of money here for someone else if they don't want it.

Sorry for the disruption.

That's a shame. It's likely someone in Sacramento told them about the 58 DA's thing.

Simple, have her ship to Spreadfire or CWS. They've been doing that for ages, and have the lawyers to take care of things.
