I was thinking about gettting on of these Wasr 10 AK clones from DDS Ranch. http://ddsranch.com/store/product_in...f19d90fd6cf79d
Does anybody make a bullet button for the AK yet? Is there one in the works? What are people using now. Also if you pin the mag how do you load it?

Sorry for the newbish questions, I just have never owned or shot an AK.

Thanks.

Well the AK mag release is a rather stiff lever instead of a button, so it would require quite a bit of redesign. On top of that, the lever housing is riveted to the AK body, so it would require major modification to install.

The pinned mag variants are loaded by removing the dust cover (a spring loaded 'button' that takes like half a second to take off), removing the bolt assembly (about another second) and then loading from the top. The only problem with it is some people have chubby/non-dexterious hands and loading it can be a pain. The best AK solution is the no pistol grip method, IMHO. Most AKs use the slant brake, which is not a flash suppressor, and the design of the stock makes holding it in a traditional manner fairly comfortable (my hands naturally go there now). This way you can also use any sized magazine you legally own, not just 10 rounders or less.

If you HAVE to have a pistol grip, the best method I have seen is the mag locks that use a socket head screw and a small plate. I believe the HK-phile was making them...

Thanks for the advice. I think I will probably run a MM grip.
