just putting together my buddy's LMT upper to the LMT lower.. and the front take down pin is very tight. Now I dont want this thread to turn into "ohh its suppose to be tight, and it will loosen as you shoot it". when i say tight, i meant TIGHT. i had to hit it with a punch VERY hard to hit it in... whats up with that..i oiled it, put the rear pin in first.. dont know whats going on. my guess that I told him, was "shoot it more and it will loosen".. but this thing seemed unusual-tight.. no homo.

The hole just probably needs to be reamed a little bit, got to be the anodizing.

in one of the holes that the pin goes through, it seemed to not be finished? there were grooves in it. When the pin came to that hole, is when it started to get really tough.

put the front pin first

Lube it? Worked for me. Also watch if the rear pin is a PITA that the buffer spring isn't impeding the two parts from seating properly.

put the front pin first

yea we tried that, but then we had to pull the lower as hard as we could to fit the rear pin in (which clearly didnt work..)

even still... taking it apart still requires a punch to take the pins out...

The best solution is to get the holes reamed by a gunsmith or you can do it yourself if you have the fluted reamer.

Ream the upper holes slightly. My LMT was very tight as well.

ream the holes, eh? Okay. interesting. And yea Colt-45 i was just hoping that would be the cure. i will do that. shoot it a lot, and see from there. If still very tight... consider reaming. thansks yall'!
