After much time, toil, and stressful workdays, I'm finally "done" with my two ARs. This was an odd set of projects. I started last Christmas with a 16" Midlength, then went to build a 20". I ran out of money, so ended up selling half the 16" parts to build the 20". I finally got the rifles finished, but still was optic-less. Now, they're finally complete.

This is mostly a pic thread. If you want build details, let me know.

(Without the ACOG)

Left to do:

*16" needs a proper one point sling mount.
*16" needs a light. I'm thinking either a TLR1s or one of watchmaker's 350 lumen Surefire clones.
*20" has a Geisele SSA trigger coming in. I'll have it in :twoweeks: (2 actual weeks).
*20" will probably get a light as well.
*The 20" upper receiver has a slightly out of spec barrel index slot; despite my best efforts, I end up with the front sight post canted slightly left. With the ACOG, I don't know if I'll end up fixing that or not. I'm finishing up a 7.5" AR Pistol next paycheck, so it partially depends on how I build that upper. I may swap uppers, as the pistol will have a freefloat rail and index won't matter so much.

And finally, the fun part.....
*Zero both the Eotech and the ACOG and see what they can do

What sling do you have there on the M16A4gery?

Specter Gear SOP Sling. I love it (and I'm not usually a 3 point fan). They're CA-based too.
