View Full Version : Quick magazine legallity question..

A buddy of mine brought me 2, 30 round Saiga magazine parts kits (new Promag).
My Saiga is converted, so I will not be able to use them. Is there any problem selling them, considering that the Saiga brand is newer than the AW laws (I believe)? Since you would not have been able to own the magazines new, is it a problem to have the rebuild kit?

I am not trying to make this more complicated than it is, I just don't want to get in trouble for a couple of mags.

Thanks for your FUD-free advice!

Rebuild kits are PARTS.

No regulation on magazine parts.

Do not assemble them into magazines inside CA.

Saiga mags are nothing more than reworked AK mags that still sort of work in an AK. Therefor, it would not be impossible for someone to rebuild a Saiga mag into an AK mag or visa versa AS LONG AS it still works in the original gun their original mag was made for.

stick them in a closet. Someday you may want them.

You can sell 'em no problems (as stated above, keep them just parts) or as suggested keep 'em around and when this stupid law is repealed ya got two mags to play with.
