YES

Then you trigger 922r.

Bullet guide and a little off the mag catch should do it....

asked ATF about the 922...trigger...they just said it couldn't look like an rifle illegal to import...
left it for a while then put a warsaw stock and mm grip and new trigger...

was way way better all around.. esp for kneeling position shooting...way better

and a new trigger make a huge difference...get rid of that saddle link thingee in the saiga...

Read the law, if it is illegal to import in a specific configuration then, you must comform with 922(r) if building or converting it to that configuration. If it's not legal for Saigas to be imported ready to accept +10 round mags then, it's not legal to convert a gun to acccept them unless it has ten or less imported parts on it. In other words, "looks" have nothing to do with it other than the fact that one can visually detect certain unimportable features.

Two things you have to do:

1. Install bullet guide
2. File down the mag release

Thanx to everyone on Calguns for the links, advice and help on the Saiga conversion. Finally did it last weekend and very happy with the way it looks and functions.
