"The new Trijicon SRS (Sealed Reflex Sight) is a reflex-type sight with a unique optical design, housed in a body length of only 3.75 inches, that virtually eliminates the “tube-effect” common with other, competitive red dot sights. The result—a field of view that essentially provides no obstruction to shooters. That means lightning fast target engagements at CQB distances with no distraction from the shooter’s situational awareness....

This uniquely patented configuration allows the user years of illumination life from a single battery by offering an intuitive “solar assist”, that is, drawing on battery power only when the solar cell requires additional energy support for illumination based on ambient conditions."

"Available February 2012" and no msrp, meh. We'll see next year if it's worth considering.

its been a year maybe less since initial t&e on these and they really think an msrp of 1k is acceptable?

I know they sell good products. I tested the crap out of them in Iraq but this is crazy. A red dot for over $1k

I know it sucks, but you have to pay to play. The T&E on these thing are top notch and the build is the best quality you can get... I wish it was cheaper too, but all who have seen real optics and cheap china made optics will and can appreciate the difference in quality.

the whole point was to compete with the others out there. i dont see the price competing with anything.

I knew it would be pricey but not like this. Maybe $700 - $800

when it gets to your retailer im sure it will be closer to that price point. the msrp should have started at 7-800 to begin with.

Accepting Preorders. Product to begin shipping Summer 2012.

I wonder when will we finally see these hit a local retailer? September?

I've been holding off on buying a red dot for my AR I just finished a couple months ago. I guess Ill wait till end of summer to pick this up. Iron sights will do just fine till then.

I checked one out at the SHOT show, very nice optic!

The rep I spoke to thought availability would be summer '12.

They should have spent the time working on a 1-6X AccuPoint with ACOG reticle. OTOH, I'm glad they spent that time with the SRS and an ACOG for the Crossbow. D'Oh!

Only way that price could be acceptable is if it was tritium with no batteries. Kind of like ACOG meets RDS. With batteries, their upper limit was the Aimpoint Micro T1

Heh, I've been hoping for the opposite. Variable ACOG.

very, very rarely does anything sell for MSRP... retailers will be cheaper, then with coupon codes, etc it will be cheaper yet... still pricey though - but seems like a nice unit.
