$3200 seems a bit steep though.

I don't send ak's out to get built, so I didn't factor in a cost for that...come to think of it I do my own barrel population too. I guess that makes it a $1900 stock.

BOTH for me!
Well kinda,

bought a scar earlier this year, and I picked up a Krink kit recently.

Price/rarity aside, I honestly dont like anything about that thing over a AKS74U

Other than cool factor...what does this gun do that a 7.62x39 AK carbine for $500 won't?

For that price range, you could have a fully built up AR10 with quality optics....or 2 Les Baer 1911s...or 2 M1As....or 3 ARs....now my head hurts

Damn, for $3200 do I want my rifle to say K-Var on the side or Accuracy International?? Hmm...

3200 is very, very steep. BUT it is a 7.62x39 krinkov, and all the kits that i've seen are 5.45. Those handguards aren't available, the folder isn't available, ambidextrous safety, and it is a milled receiver. Factor all of those in plus the arsenal name, and you've got 3200. Not saying I would pay that, especially with not being able to SBR it.

I keep on getting the idea in my head that i want to do the work to make a mismatched kit into a frankenkrink, but that is a LOT of work to do, especially if i hit a roadblock in the process.

I just noticed they won't even ship thier overpriced krink kits to CA. Bastids.

For that type of money I'd order something else, like a SAKO TRG which I recently found fully loaded at that price, before I even would consider that. I love my AKs, but one of the reasons I really love the platform, besides it's effective simplicity, is it's cost. Damn fine looking AK. The cost should include SBR paperwork, thus sold with a short brl.

It's for people who want an SBR-ready legit Krink clone from the factory. They're hard to come by, so they're expensive. Other places offer them for like 2/3 the cost, but Arsenal does good work.

So, the long barrel and short gas system are so you can cut the barrel down later? Seems like they should just sell it as a Short-Barreled Rifle.

well, Ca isnt the only SBR unfriendly state.
Plus this way you can shoot it as is while you wait for your form to go through I suppose.
