I just got a set of Troy HK style BUIS and looking to get an adjustment tool for it. Any recommendations on brands?

I found the Troy brand one, but i refuse to pay shipping that is as much as the item im buying. Also on midway there's extremely mixed reviews on some I figured i could narrow it down by calgunners.

Just for the visual people...this is the sight i purchased.

I generally just use a small (dental) pick to push down the detent and a small pair of needle nose pliers to adjust it.

I've heard of people using a piece of .223/5.56 brass to adjust it by crushing down the neck of the brass enough to tightly fit over the sight post and turning it to adjust but I haven't ever tried it.

Won't a standard sight adjust tool work?

That's the front site I have on mine. Standard AR front sight ADj tool works (4 prongs). I got mine at Gunrunners in Duarte so I assume most black rifle shops have them in stock..

Hey Virus, why "no" seems that it works for me and for others. We can't help if you don't give details.

That's the way to go. Normally I'm the kind of guy that'll shell out to buy the most correct tool for the job, but really... after you get it zeroed, how often are you gonna have to adjust the elevation on BUIS? :)

It took me 3 or 4 times ordering stuff until i remembered to order the front sight tool with other stuff I wanted. But it works. And its so much easier than a bullet. I used to adjust with bullet tips.

IIRC, the Troy HK style front sights were originally designed with a different post and wouldn't work with the standard A1 sight tool. They changed the design.
