I recently got a Saiga 7.62 (no mod), UTG side rail mount (5th gen), and NcStar 3-9X40
Yes, all economical package. The scope comes with dove tail rings. After mounting I find that the scope is too high (i.e.when I weld my cheeks on the stock). Any solution??

I don't have any practical experience with AR/AK style rifles, so I won't be any help here either, but welcome to the forum :)

thanks for the welcome and inputs. I ended up getting a low profile dove tail rings, works great. But had to take off the iron sights for the scope. thanks again

Maybe low rings? I ll tell you what you should do. Get an Ultimak rail and Add a red dot go to Primary Arms and order you ll have to cut the stock to fit the ultimak but it will give you the best set up with a siaga co witnessing

Either lower rings, or get a cheek pad, they have slip on ones, ones you drill onto your stock, or ghetto version like the army does it, duct tape a pair of GI socks for cheek pad. LOL. I do not recommend the last one. Welcome to the forum.

You know about the Centerfire Rifles Forum? I hate having to - put cheek on rifle stock. 8mm Mauser broke a tooth in half, had to spend a bunch of money. Ugh.
