So, about a month ago I bought this Taurus .22lr Tracker

http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i461/morrcarr67/2011-08-29100846.jpg

I showed my barber this picture and he offered to buy it from me for a profit.

I didn't want to sell it, and turned him down on his offer.

I started to think about it and remember that he had a gun that I wanted.

So, I went back a couple of days later and offered a trade. My "Hand Cannon" for his: ..............................................

Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380

He said "OK". We just did the transfer today. I will get my new Bodyguard in 10 days.

:( what a shame. I've often thought about a tracker in 22mag with a scope for varmint hunts.

I'll get another one someday. I just couldn't pass up this trade.

Having owned one of those BG's. I wouldn't have made that trade, tbh.

But I hope you are very happy with it.

Looks good, let us know how she shoots!

Don't worry about people not liking it. Guns are like cars, someone may see a rusty piece of crap and you see a gleaming jewel. I've never understood people coming into a thread where the OP is obviously happy and then crapping on the deal by saying "that's lame" or "I wouldn't have done that", I just don't get that.

Anyway, enjoy your new gun and post up a range report if you get the chance!

LOL - you'll burn a month's worth of .22LRs in one range trip with the .380... :D

lol, .22lr revolver is not a hand cannon. You did good on that trade. If you want to know what a hand cannon is, your free to shoot my 4" barrel .500 Magnum.

IMO, it has to be bigger than a .357 magnum to be a "Hand Cannon" That being said, I thought the Tracker looked like a fun gun to shoot!

I don't think I'd even ever heard of the Bodyguard, tbh. I imagine it's off-roster, am I correct? Anyway - it makes me happy when a trade goes down with both parties satisfied that they got the better end of the deal! :D good on you and give us a range report ASAP!

That tracker sure looked like it could nail squirrels at 100 yards, though!

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Over the years cannons have come in many different sizes and calibers.

When you look at the size of this .22lr Revolver you will notice it is much larger than any other on the market; thus making it a .22lr "Hand Cannon". :o

Yup, I'm always on the look out for a good deal.

I just wish it was easier in this state to buy, sell and trade your guns :(

I am happy with the trade. I got the "cannon" for a very good price because the guy needed money to pay some bills.

I know what they go for new and what all the extras add up to.

I also know how much he paid for the BG .380.

He paid less for the BG then what a new Tracker would cost.

But, I paid less for the Tracker then he paid for the BG .380.

I saw in the other thread you said the BG is roughly same size as LCP. How are the sights compared to the LCP?

I think you would like them better then the LCP:

Compared to the Smith's:

But, the Smith has a built in laser sight. So, how much will you really be using the iron sights?

Lol, alright. Ya, I guess the pictures of them were enough to answer my question. It's ALWAYS good to have iron sights, even if they are just back up.
