Probably not - My county won't even allow a 1911.

You would have to tie an anchor to the muzzle to keep it coming back and splitting your skull open.

Please tell us more. Is this a 9mm/.38 only thing?

No - Just the "Dangerous" 1911.

So even a 1911 .22 or 9mm...

Just any platform 100 years old and older? LOL

At my latest renewal my SD suggested that I change one of my 3 carry guns from a 5 shot .357mag. to something with the legal full capacity. Now all are 10 +1 semi-autos.

My ideal LTC roster:

1) S&W M&P 9C
2) Sig P229
3) FN Five-seveN with 30rd mags acquired via Gene's Package
4) 7.5" AR Pistol with 350 lumen tac light, loaded with M855 or Mk318
5) Saiga 12 AOW

1 & 2? Because they're practical. 3-5? Just to spit in Lee Baca's eye. ;)

i have not heard of any restrictions in Sacramento county and I have a forty-five and a 380 on mine and could have added a forty-four. But considering that a CCW is mainly for close quarter self defense a sheriff might question why you need a fifty caliber gun for close quarter personal protection. I carry the 380 and rarely carry forty-five perferring to rely on accurate shooting as opposed to simple knock down power. But each to their own choice.

Since .50BMG pistols are not illegal in CA, sure :)
