In light of AB 144 how do you want to carry?

I'm for CCW.

Patriot Man

I would support only work towards CCW. You need to add an option that "Support open carry, but I do not do this" and "I support CCW only"

I would rather have a LTC.

Clownpuncher

I've wanted a CCW forever. If AB144 is a means to an end then so be it. Everyone (who qualifies) should be afforded the opportunity to have a CCW.

I would rather have a LTC.

^^^ Really more this. Most of the time I would rather be carrying concealed, but there are times and places in the Los Angeles area I'd feel better letting it all hang out in the hopes of it being a deterrent. Also, four legged predators are faster than two legged, so LOC would be better for hunting and even walking the dog at night.

LOC would be great to have, but my goodness do we have some asses to kick or kiss to get there...

Damn.. clicked the wrong button! How do I change my vote in the poll?

ckprax
10-10-2011, 8:07 AM
Not enough poll options. I want to fight AB144, I also want to expand open carry to allow for loaded and get rid of the school zone. Personally, I would prefer to carry concealed so I want shall issue LTC.

Now is not the time to open carry black rifles, but I personally have no issues with it. Maybe in the future, we will be able to without risking further litigation and removal of our rights. CGF has a winning strategy and carrying black rifles will be counterproductive.

The question is loaded toward LTC. Why not put "I want to carry an unloaded black rifle for personal protection"

Zimz

I prefer concealed but I want the option of LOC if I feel the need. This restriction on our 2A should be fought in court.

No it's not, it's no different than pre AB 144. It only looks loaded because other than LOC, it's the only functional method of carry in prohibited places.

NOT COUNTING the Gov. Building prohibition.

Even though Ab 144 passed, LOC in non prohibited areas is still the same and a b144 has the exemption for hunters. I suggest everyone get a hunting license for added personal protection from the law of Ab 144, JMO

Time to jump in with the winning team and show everyone in light of AB144 What we WILL get throughout the State of California!

Where's the button for 'I wish to carry in whatever manor most convenient to me without a need for a permit or tax'?

This ^^^^

Though I am not happy at all that a useful form of carry, which I rarely but did use in rural areas, has been lost.

The way i see it, in rural areas you can still UOC if you have a hunting license. I am ALWAYS GOING OR COMING FROM HUNTING ;)

Obviously, I'd like both open and concealed carry (loaded). I know that's not feasible in California at this time, and I know the Supreme Court made clear a state can limit one form of carry, so long as the other is fully functional. My hope given CA's political climate at this time is to get concealed carry permit issuance as soon as possible.

You can loc if you are hunting, and in unicorporated areas....

I wanted to click the "I want to be able to carry however I damned well choose and its not up to the government to tell me what to do" button, but since none was there I chose ccw. I honestly want people to be able to loc anything they want, including howitzers if thats their chosen weapon.

In general at least one form of LTC to carry should be a standard right without any kind of process. This whole gig where only the samurai(cops) can carry is more indicative of feudal Asia peasants than our roots as free Americans.

If you read the exceptions in the new bill it allows for the UOC to and from hunting.

There are two laws, federal and CA. At this time, the federal GFSZ is not readily enforced but could be a major issue if/when we have national reciprocity.

True but if you are going to or from hunting you also have the option of concealed carry. The GFSZ still applies in both cases so many people will need to LUCC. The hunting exception is little relief.

I want to carry as I dang well please. For the most part that would be some sort of concealed, but to me being told I can't open carry is like being told I can't be on the street at 3 AM. It wouldn't be my normal routine, but anybody that thinks I shouldn't have the right to when I want to can GFTSAD in the worst of ways.

"I wish to carry concealed a load firearm to protect myself"

Just like I do in Arizona and Nevada thanks to the AZ DPS.
Funny a state I don't live in trusts me, But the one I do doesn't.

I would definitely prefer LTC. Flame on, but I live in a county where I'm sure I could get one (Shasta), and don't have one. I just think that everyone who wants to carry loaded and concealed should be able to.

Voted for I Don't Care.

I truly vote for both LTC & LOC. I'd prefer the decision be mine & mine alone. That my situation be the determining factor for either, not the government's or some politician's comfort level.

Because it's unlikely that anyone actually wants to carry "an unloaded black rifle for personal protection". The only reason to do so is to make a temper tantrum statement and get that banned to.

I oppose any form of carrying regulation as someone state above, but for this poll I would go with LTC/CCW.

You didn't include LOC as a poll option, and you should have. There is a relatively large segment of the pro-2A community that prefer it.

Personally, I want it all, and then some.

taperxz
10-10-2011, 1:26 PM
I left that out for one reason. At this time, after losing UOC, it really is not a viable option in this particular political environment. I think it's fair to say we all want that or would not be on this site;)
