Just out of curiosity, what do you think you'd pay for one?
I have one, not really up for sale - so please excuse the post if I'm being a pest or out of line, but I've had it forever and just curious what the market is on it.
It's nickel plated, all original, I don't know the round count - bought it maybe 25 years ago second hand, and is in probably 90% shape. I also have 5 or 6 extra mags for it that I bought from Cheaper than dirt years ago.
Just curious - and like I said, my apologies if I'm out of line or being a pest.

I've seen them advertised for between $300 and $600 depending on the suffix number and the condition. Glad you asked the question.

Thanks for the info!
Funny... I bought it all those years ago because it was going to become a "collectors item". Smith's first alloy framed semi-auto. I think I paid about $300 for it then!

I found this thread by accident. I have a 39-2 that a bought new a long time ago. I just had it cerakoted and put new grips on it as I was going to give it to my son as a present. I ended up giving him something else. This one "might" be for sale but I'm not sure what I'd ask for it. http://i571.photobucket.com/albums/ss157/bluesmoke9/SW%2039-2/IMG_0673.jpg

I guess no one wants a 39 anymore.

What is your asking price?

I'd have to ask $525 for it because of the Cerakote and new grips. The gun's not absolutely perfect but the Cerakote makes it look like one of a kind. Three mags all Cerakoted black.
