so far I am currently at the point where I have my stock black set up to be inletted. I have shaped a plane where the barrel and action are to sit, minus the actual inleting. I need to know how much wood to remove from the bottom of the blank, from the trigger grard forward and to the take down screw. To be exact: what is the height measurement from from the midpoint of the barrel, of the barrel of the barreled action to the bottom of the lowerst part of the action? I'm trying to firgure out hou much wood to remove before i start inletting. can aybody help me with out selding me the same old links? hopefully some personal experience? that would be GREAT!!! from what i have gathered it's around 2.5 inches? is this right? I really need help on this one, last big hurdle before i can set the rest of the wood of this blank to my own body.

Thanks so much!
