I got two of them in the WTS section. I think I priced them fair.

Do You think I did?

What are the model 14's with full lug barrels going for these days? I never see them for sale.

They look just like 586

Thanks.

PS. I no longer shoot PPC and do not need those revolvers anymore. They just sit in the safe.

I think those might have been some of the last model 14's produced. The non full lug 14's bring about $450 in shooter condition and up to $650 in collector condition with box and papers.

.38 specials tend to sell a lot slower on this forum than say the S&W forum so maybe post them over there. Someone may need one to fill a hole in their collection then an extra $100 $200 may become a mute point.

I rather sell them local. I may lower the price and see what happens. THANK YOU.

If it's a 4" 14-5, I'll take it....? I'm looking for one.

No, they are both six inch 14-6 and 14-7 in 38 spl. heavy barrel.

Did S&W make the Model 14 with a full-lug barrel?

I know that Davis (who was a magician when it came to wheel gun tuning) played around with mating parts from different guns. I have three Davis "hybrids," with one of them being an S&W model 13 frame mated to a 581 barrel. Looks like a factory job, but I know for a fact that it's a Davis special.

In any case, this sounds like a fixed-sight version of your guns.

OK...found the answer to my own question. S&W did make full-lug versions.

A full-lug Model 14 would be seriously cool to have. A K-Frame .38 with the heavier L-Frame barrel profile. That's a nice combination!

In any case, that S&W Forum thread implies that the guns are rather uncommon. That combined with the Bill Davis trigger jobs, combined with your $550 price is making me think, "Hmmm...what's my checking account balance?".

You need to get some pictures up. I think they'll sell quickly if people could actually see them. You also might consider posting them on S&W forum.
