It seems if you're a legal card holder for Marijuana you cannot buy a gun! Is it not just like any other prescription drugs?

Dupe dupe dupe.

But, to answer your question. Yes, it would be like any other drug IF it was a legal drug in the first place. Until the Feds allow for legal use, it will remain ILLEGAL for a DR. to prescibe it or a pharmacy to dispense it. That is why MDs only give "recommendations" and not "presciptions" for it. Got it yet? MJ is ILLEGAL ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES under FEDERAL LAW.

Isnt it listed on the DROS as a question and an (ie) that would prohibit you? How are they getting around that question?!

The California DROS form doesn't have anything about drugs on it. You are thinking of the FEDERAL 4473 form. To answer your question. Some people think that because they live in a state which has changed state law to allow for medical pot use, it is somehow legal to use it. So, they answer that they are not using any illegal drugs because, they are just too stoned to realize that, no matter what state law is, FEDERAL LAW is still an issue.
