I`ve noticed a few sites lately stating that one should confirm with state law before purchasing ammo over the internet.
So what is the law on internet sales of ammo here in Kalifornia?

Depends on your county or city. Most places, it's perfectly legal. I got thousands of rounds shipped to my doorstep.

Send money.

Receive ammo.

There are no state-level restrictions; there are a few city and county level ordinances that sometimes are interpreted to restrict sales by some retailers.

There have been a couple recent legislative attempts to add state restrictions; AB 962 passed but was thrown out in court. SB 124 was introduced this year and went nowhere. SB 427 passed this year and is waiting for the Governor to act or allow it to become law - see http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=398210 and http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/postquery?bill_number=sb_427&sess=CUR&house=B&author=de_le%F3n

I heard of a friend that participated on a group ammo buy, they bought 10k rounds. ATF came a knockin'. He had to explain why so many rounds....no problem after that.

Better buy more ammo now before 'Moonbeam' signs the mail order ammo death bill.
