Everything you need to turn your stripped lower into a rifle for one low introductory price. Kit includes a PSA 16" Hammer-Forged, Chrome-Lined, M4A1 upper, BCG, charging handle and our Classic Lower Build Kit.

Lower Build Kit: Includes our M4-style stock, A2 Pistol grip, Palmetto State Armory Classic Lower Parts Kit and Mil-Spec size buffer tube, castle nut, end plate, carbine spring, and PSA Standard buffer.

Barrel: A proprietary blend of Hammer forged chrome molly vanadium made by FN that is referred to as "Machine Gun Steel" by virtue of its use in FN's M249 and M240 weapons. The hammer forging process work hardens the steel, making it more durable. In addition, the chrome process for the bore allows for a lining almost twice as thick as a standard M16 for enhanced durability. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, with a 1/7 twist, M4 barrel extension, and a carbine gas system. M4A1 style profile is phosphate coated to mil-specs. Barrel is High Pressure tested, and Magnetic Particle inspected, to ensure quality and dependability, and is finished off with an F-marked front sight post with sling swivel, and A2 flash hider.

Upper: Forged 7075-T6 A3 AR upper is made to MIL-SPECS and hard coat anodized black for durability. Featuring machined T marks, and a mil-spec finish. These uppers are made for us right here in the USA by a mil-spec manufacturer, and are marked with the Palmetto State Armory logo on the left side, up front, just below the rail.

Bolt: Bolt is made of Mil-spec Carpenter 158 steel, Shot peened, MPI and HPT. Gas key is secured with grade 8 fasteners and staked per mil-spec. Bolt carrier is parkerized outside, chrome lined inside, and laser engraved with the Palmetto State Armory logo.

Each upper is assembled to order with care. Please allow 7 business days for your upper to ship.

Hi guys!

Still shopping for my AR kit, but I'm pretty sold on buying this kit in the next month. Is the barrel considered a heavy barrel or a lightweight? I'm looking for a kit with a bigger barrel for stability under heavy usage, but not a necessarily a bull barrel.

It's M4A1 profile, which is considered slightly heavier underneath the handguard.

Do you offer this kit with barrel upgrades? Just curious. I'm new to the AR world, but I'm trying to build a decent first AR without needing too many core upgrades later. A friend recommended getting an HBAR if I want to have an accurate rifle after 200 rounds. There are so many barrel designations out in the market that it's confusing as to what I'm really buying.

Thanks for the help and I'm looking forward to being a long-time customer!

This is currently the only barrel option offered with this kit.

200 rounds sustained fire is quite a bit if you are also trying to shoot accurately. Unfortunately, the heat expansion isn't easily avoidable.

Hey, no worries, guys. Appreciate all the answers. Someone told me to go with a heavier barrel profile for accuracy, and then another person told me that I'd be shooting a few hundred rounds if I ever took a carbine class or attended an Appleseed.

I'm brand new to the AR world, so in my mind, I combined the two situations and decided a heavy barrel would be the way to go.

The amount of options and info for an AR build is unbelievable for a new builder, so I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row before buying.

Very understandable..just let me know if you have any other questions about our product. If you plan to do a lot of sustained/rapid fire shooting you may be interested in one of our FN made hammer-forged barrels.
