Well its been over 8 months since this build started with a lonely aero stipped lower and an lpk and a stock set.

Last Sunday after months of debate with my self I got a MIAD grip, and MOE hand guard and front grip (I hate the whole mall ninja advertisement magpul does but I have to give credit where it is due. They do make some great stuff and for a good price), 2 bushy 10/20 mags, and over 400 rounds of federal green tips. Also got a holosight for a good price

Got my upper today, I opted for a DPMS light weight upper. Heard great things about them plus it was on sale so I really couldn't pass it up. I mates with my lower perfectly no play what so ever between the two and feels rock solid.

Going to try to get up early tomorrow morning before work and head to the range and get a range report up soon.

Nice build bro. Yea those DPMS light weight uppers are awesome especially for the price. I mated mine with a plum crazy polymer lower fit perfectly, And after about 1500 rounds with no flaws I decided that I got one hell of a deal lol. Now its time to customize it. Handguard, grip, stock etc.

Thanks, Cant wait to send some rounds down the pipe. How are the PC lowers? I think I might to an ultra light weight build next using there lowers, heard the triggers are nice and crisp too.

Thank you. The 10 day wait period sucks but it gives me 10 days to get the gas money and plan a full day trip to go get it, My ffl guy is in lake tahoe...

I like it!
Very eclectic mix of parts.. Magpul, Sopmod, and the coolest of course being the old school Eotech!

So I took her to the range twice yesterday in between work and got 80 rounds of federal xm855's down the pipe. Found out that after 2 years of light close range plinking with my girls ruger and ventilating targets with my shotgun I realize I am so rusty and needed to go bact to the basic fundamentals...:sweatdrop:

Here are my results. (excuse alerts..)

First target at 50 yards standing with holosight 2 mags, only 17 hit paper and one strayed off. Took some getting use to the holosight., been so use to old red dots and dealing with parallaxes that it felt real awkward using the sight the first 10 or so shots. Also needed to work on breathing control and slow down my shooting.

Second target same as last, Started to trust the sight and had my aha moment that they do live up to there reputations. After that it was just a matter of using the basics properly and taking my time (still need to work on that...)

I can honestly say that the rifle is accurate.. alot more than myself and the sight works perfectly.

Also forgot to mention it earlier, thats to all you guys on here for all the tips and advice.

Yep, that's spray and pray shooting. That's what my target looks like too, with a Delton AR. But your build is nicer. Congrats..
