The Ruger .22LR SP101 is on the "approved" list. Ruger announced it on their Facebook page this afternoon, and, of course, the California haters came out from under their rocks. Anyway, it's good news for those of us prefer the variety of ammo that can be used in a .22 revolver.

It's amazing how many gun owners are also mouth breathers.

Glad they re-released this. Looks better than the first but I still love full underlugs.

I have already told my local FFL I want one. I really like that Ruger is putting on the grips with the wood inlay.

Those comments were crazy. The way I look at it, if the gun owner community in CA wasn't fighting the fight here, then it could be (almost) any other state in the union. They really should be thanking CA.

Back on topic: Just another gun to add to the wishlist :(

I was hoping it would be about half the price of the 617, gonna have to save some pennies.

I like it but it's to pricey right now. Going to go with the GSG 1911 .22 instead. :D

I'm still waiting for the Ruger Single-Ten to hit the streets....or has it? This new Ruger SP101 in .22 LR carries a pretty high MSRP of $675.00.

That is outrageous.

I like it as well. However, you can buy 2 decent 22s for that price. Heck you can buy a 9mm and a 22 for that price. Thus the law of diminishing return. I like it but pass.

REALLY.......?

CA gun owners I hate to say vote some of the fools into office both state and fed that are the cause of some of the gun laws here. A lot of you are not your typical gun voters.

During the last elections I saw some posts here that would make some other free states sick.

Until I see a different state government here, I will say most are just libs with a hobby here...Yeah I went there.

I want one also.

RE; the the CA haters, the rest of the country is always knocking CA. The complextion of the US Supreme Court could change in a "heartbeat" and the rest of the country could have similiar or worse laws then CA. Our only strength comes from sticking together.

I hope they come out with a 3" bbl version eventually but, either way, I'm getting one...

I cant decide if it's a good or bad thing that I am broke for the moment after finishing my AR.

With an MSRP of $675, the street price will probably be around $525-550. ( After the initial craziness subsides. )

That's a fine price for a good(?) gun. I don't really understand why people are so adverse to paying fair money for a 22LR; if you get a lot of use out of it - and it will basically last forever - then it's a relative bargain.

Perhaps I'm just rationalizing why I paid $750 for a 617? ;)

I like the gun but I'd buy the .357 version again before I bought the .22 for more money.

Nice, but I'd love to see an SP101 3" 8 shot in 22Mag. That would definitely get me interested.

This... or anything shorter than 3" in a .22LR revolver.

S&W makes the 317 right now, but it's almost double the price of a GSG 1911 (which I picked up and it shoots great). I just don't know why some .22LR revolvers can cost so much.

I'm like 99% sure I was holding the single ten at Turners the other week.

Ruger's pricing for .22 guns is getting ridiculous. They are really good guns - but jeez. 99% of the time, I'll shoot a 22 revolver SA, so I think I would buy a Heritage and have it slicked-up by a gunsmith instead of the SP101 or a single six/ten. I think I would end-up with a better gun for much less money.

I pick up one of those next week but I'm still going to get the SP 101.

I just put a couple of guns in the for sale section because I want one of these. It will round out my collection and will be cheap to shoot. :D

I would spend 600$ on something like that!
