anyone else own one? what size groups a 100yds ? My brother gave it to me, so I thought I would play with it for a while. Has a centerpoint scope. Where do you find a magazine with a higher capacity than 4 ? Gun show Cal Expo this weekend.
Never shot a 100, but I have the 88 which is the lever action version. It should be under 2 moa I would think. Reload for it and you should cut that down.
Good luck on the mags. Even stock capacity aren't that common and usually after market. A friend paid 70.00 for a model 88 mag in Reno a few years back.

Check Gunbroker.I sold my factory 4 rounders for $50 each.1new and 1 used to the same guy plus shipping. He was happy to get them.I have never seen a higher cap unit in over 30 years of screwing with those guns.

I've got one too. Numrich is repopping the mags and they're about 40 bucks apiece if they still have them. As far as accuracy, meh. It's definitely minute of dead deer at 100yds, mine has put dozens of whitetails in the freezer.

FYI there is a recall on M100s and the rifles are not supposed to be used until the recall is handled. Check with Winchester for details.

Is it worth keeping, or should I trade it off for something. If I should what to trade for
One thing to remember that gun will only increase in value. You will not find a high capacity mag for it! it's old school and your thinking new school.

It is worth keeping, though mine is accurate at 50 yards it really opens up past 100 yards Pie plate accuracy. Usijg good hand loads helped a lot but I still have better hunting rifles so this one stays home. I primarily had it as a jeep gun. Since it was not as accurate I replaced mine with a Savage model 99C also in 308. My model 88 is better at the accuracy game for sure. I have spare mags for both. I have never seen a higher capacity mag. Keep the gas system clean or it will be a bother to shoot.

About 40 years ago, an outfit name "Coyle" made 10 rounders for the Winchester 88 and 100, and for the 740 and 760 Remington. I had one of their 20 round for the Remington. Alos, about 20+ years ago at a gunshow, I saw a 20 rounder for the 100 Winchester.
