Looks like a winner. Only time will tell if it goes up in smoke like all the other chinese crap I buy.

Runs off 110v or 12v and charges all battery types and sizes.

PC,

What are the average charging times on this charger for AA, RCR123, & 14500 batts? Is it comparable time wise to a MAHA Wizard or La Crosse Alpha on default (1000ma) charge w/ AA's?

Been looking for something better for my 17670's. This looks like a pretty solid charger!

I'm curious to see how it works out for you.

I always have hope, but unfortunately have come to look at these "one thing does it all"-products with some skepticism. I've had too many of them turn into what I call "el caminos"; tries to be both a pickup truck and a car, but never really satisfies as either.

BTW, Battery Junction is giving 8% off (I know, it's not a lot, but it's better than nothing) on your entire order if you use the coupon code FALLSAVE. It's good until 10/4/2011. I went ahead and ordered the charger and 12v adapter.

What I have found is that the state of charge in the battery predicts how long it will take on modern chargers. Its best not to run a battery down more than half before recharging. If I run them down all the way it takes a while especially on an 3100ma 18700.

Im going to order one and I will get back to you.

I'm interested too. I only have one NiCd/Nimh charger right now (La Crosse Alpha) and I need a spare anyways. One that be used in the car would be nice.

arrrggh!

If I could get something like this to charge under solar it would be perfect.

It has a 12v charge plug that WILL work with solar.

On a related note, has anyone used the Tenergy batteries Battery Junction sells? Any good or bad reports?

I use the Tenergy batteries all day, everyday. I have no complaints. I use the RC123's under near continuous use in a flashlight and I get a years use out of them before they start to come apart or fail to hold a charge for an adequate time.

Ugh!

Backordered

I really dislike companies that do NOT list items as out of stock so they can continue to reap sales on something they dont have. Then they hope you will wait the 2-12 months for the product to arrive the whole time hanging on to your money.

This is the 2nd time this Battery Junction has burned me. Its the last as well.

Thank you. I use Eneloop mostly but I sometime see the Tenergy at about half the price or better. I wondered if they were any good.

PC,

Any other suppliers besides battery junction for this charger? I see its a co-branded Jetbeam product but havent seen it on any other site.

+1 on Tenergy batteries. I use their C123's in a number of my lights. Good output and life, and they are cheaper then the "name brand" units.

Ah, I was looking at the Jetbeam China website, there was no link to purchase anything on it.

Looks like its "pre-order now" status according to the site...
