not to rain on the parade, but after shipping, tax, ffl fees etc etc this really only comes out to about 50 dollars less than a local one for me..

Of course 50 bucks is 50 bucks (trying to hide my wallet!)

I'm glad I was able to help some of you out.

Sorry to those who can't buy for one reason or another. I feel for you because I'm in the same boat as you.

Plus California sales tax too.. remember its the law and the ffl's have to collect it..

How much are local Saigas going for? Shipping is only $15, so that's pretty cheap.

I can't make up my mind on which caliber to get.... I already have a sks and SAR-1...do I really need another 7.62x39 gun? How much more accurate than my sks/SAR-1 will it be?

and if I but the 5.45, then I'll need to pick up a bunch of 5.45 ammo...

the .223 would be nice, but ammo is more expensive...

tough decisions, but one thing is for certain, I'm definitely getting one!

Get one of every caliber, for that price you could do a top flight conversion and sell that later.

You'd need $150-160 for 1,080 rounds. Not bad!

I highly doubt that, it's much cheaper to run a business in AZ.

In theory, you might be able to get a Saiga for $300 shipped to your ffl because arms of america might price match and they offer free shipping.

Or they'll have to take out that banner that says "Lowest prices on the internet."

"

be that as it may, once again after sales tax ( I know it is out of state, but your local FFL will collect tax, yes I believe this is illegal but thats how it goes) and transfer fees the saving is still minimal

When I got mine, my FFL didnt charge me tax, just $65 for transfer fee and that was it. Did it change since last year???

The website says, "the rifle is not suitable to use standard AK high cap magazines".

Does that mean, just in Kali and other restricted states, or that the rifle needs to be modified to accept standard AK mags?

MrPlink
09-27-2011, 6:55 PM
They can easily be modified for std ak mags but u have to follow 922r laws
