That fugly SlideFire contraption worked as advertised, and it was fun to burn through a few hundred rounds, but I sold it and went with a MagPul CTR on the hurricane zombie zipper.

Dollar for dollar, I'm pleased with all my MagPul products so far.

I've got a Magpul CTR on my AR. Solid as a rock and comfy on the cheek and shoulder.

I like magpul too. Aesthetically and functionally. I also think its a good value.

what handgaurd is that? I have been wanting one of those style handguards and then wanted to put those magpul plates on them. Really like that style and function. Cant justify spending 200 bucks on a handgaurd though...

And as an added benefit, you are also now much less likely to be charged with possessing a multiburst trigger activator ;) Oh wait, you are in Texes eh, nevermind. Oh to live in a state that actually cares about the 2A...

Looks good. How do you like the TLR1 at the 6-O'clock position? Any issues turning it on and off? Do you hold onto the forward grip like a pistol grip, or just as an index for your hand?

(can't remember the handguard manuf. I just bought it used off some forum and might actually sell it eventually for something more simple and lighter)

I hold that alloy, shorty vert grip like a pistol.

Since I shoot left handed, it puts my right thumb in perfect position to activate the lever, either up or down. Also makes it easy to flip that micro switch. It's a TLR-2s.

Should work well vs the hurricane zombies.;)

Looks like a Troy rail, but not sure.

I shoot lefty, but haven't noticed the gas.

Of course, I usually just close my eyes and lay down suppressing fire.;)
