Is it bad to leave your mags loaded for a period of time? Do you think compressing the spring for an extended period of time would hurt it?

Thank you in advance

Springs wear only via repeated compression/expansion cycles. Leaving them compressed will not wear them any faster than leaving them uncompressed.

If anything you may get your feed lips a bit worn, but thats really only if you have a crappy plastic magazine. Should be GTG

Lancer Systems L5 are "plastic".... but have metal feed lips ;)

I think plastic warps with pressure and its also heated. The plastic lips only warp when they are subjected to hot gasses and pressure.

So the plastic feed lips of a full magazine will not warp while in storage.
