I am moving to the great state of Texas on October 5th. My wife asked me this question and I had too many answers :D

What is the first rifle I should buy once I get there?

So many choices, so little money :D

High cap mags.....they are cheap and will guide your gun purchases. ;)

Congratulations! Enjoy your new found freedom. If it were me, I'd probably start looking for an HK-93, and an HK 94 for a SBR project. That, and I'd order a bunch of normal capacity AR mags, and some correct mag release parts. I get sprung from Kali in about 5 years, and will be on a similar mission.

Have fun with whatever you get! Don't forget us freedom fighters left behind.

For me i would go with one of the following in sbr, silenced, select fire configuration: M4, or draco(5.45), or a lwrc or scar16/17.

You can't get a Glock 18 in the US....under NORMAL NFA law. Yeah there are ways, but nothing the Average Joe can get to.

That's about all I would get... Then a as* ton of high caps.

Unless you have a convenient local place to shoot it and like spending $2.00 or much more per shot, skip the .50.

I would go for a Tromix SBS Saiga 12 with a folder stock.

Get a few 12 or 20 round drums and blast through lots of bird shot at $6.00 a box.

But getting the tax stamp might take a while so get an IMI UZI or something.

everything your budget allows. if it was me, I would buy a truck load of magazines, not the rebuild kits, then look at a sbr

Arnelcheeze

a suppressor for everything! actually i don't know the gun laws in TX. but anything without a bullet button is great! if it were me, a VEPR or saiga 308 would be on my list.

Go to a gun store or a gun show. Go read the classifieds. Look on the local gun forum.

Then buy whichever one you see that tickles your fancy.

Now you have choices.

I would convert some of my ARs to SBRs. I would probably turn my new 9mm AR into an SBR with a nice can first.
