Whats the going rate for a Colt 1911 Series 80 Gold Cup NM, blued, about 90-95%, with box and original information, in California. I'm hard up for cash right now and this one may need to go.

Be careful. Some guys will come in and give you an appraisal based on what they are willing to pay for it and not what it's actually worth. Just a heads up.

Oh ya well aware of these guys, I have my bluebook value, but I know that'll be different than the California market value...

I have a brand new stainless gold cup that's incoming thru SSE, and it will cost me $1250 OTD. So I think it would be around that price as well.

Series 80 Colts are out there. I say from 900-1000.00
You always pay a little more for non roster guns. It's all up to you on how badly you want it and how much you're willing to pay for it. I paid $1100 on a recently acquired 90-95% Series 80 GC NM SS which includes 6 47D Wilson Combat mags. I don't consider it a screaming deal but I think I did OK.

Ya I figured about $1000-$1200ish

Pretty awesome gun. I couldn't imagine why you would want to sell it. But better for the next guy that buys it ;)

I sold my blued series 80 GC about 3-4 years ago for about $1000-1100 with no box.

Do you have the bushing wrench and allen wrench that came with the pistol?

Is it not true anyone can put a value on it, but if the potential buyer does not want to pay that x amount it's valueless? That is how I feel as long it's reasonable.

No bushing wrench or any other tool. It also has an aftermarket bushing, the previous owner removed the "Finger bushing" as it broke.
