Very cool, reminds me a lot of a new russian military pistol I want desperately.

Its mainly the very low profile slide that does it.

I think there's a reason why we don't see it in CA...those triangle sights!

Blonde + AR15 does equal LOVE!
The triangle sights can be changed. I like it for tactical training.
That Russian gun is sweet. It reminds me of the HK P7P (is that model #)
I saw one at Gun World in Burbank and they wanted 1900 for it!

Don't knock those triangle sights. They work very well. Very quick sight acquisition.

so whats the point of not having holes in the magazines so you cant see how many rounds are in it?

Maybe they are on the side? Thats how my CZ mags are.

Cool gun! I'd love to get my hands on one of the new generation models someday.

The coolest thing about the design, is that low-bore-axis. Very similar to the aft profile of the H&K P7. It's almost as if the barrel is right at hand-level.

Enjoy!

Let us know how it shoots. that gun seems very interesting at the moment, except for the glock like grip angle : /

had a guy shooting one in my ccw class last weekend.. he shot it well as does everyone who owns one...must be something in the beer or something that makes certain people buy them...cause they all seem to shoot reasonably well...

The other day I held one and to be honest I was surprised it felt pretty good. And I have to agree thoughs triangle sights are different but nice! It was the newer models, the shop mentioned that they company got bought out, patients, issues or something like that.

they just stopped importing them a little while back, but this year importation resumed. im too lazy to check the roster, but they will be around again very soon. i know my ffl can order them now.

I have one of the last batches before they dropped off the CA roster. The grip angle feels more comfortable to me than a glock. Maybe it is just me, but a glock feels like I'm holding a 2x4 compared to my Steyr.

Glocks have to be the most uncomfortable gun I've ever shot. grips feels like a building block. Could never get into them. The Steyr M9 feels perfect when you hold it. Total comfort.

I was at Center Mass once shooting with my mom and looking at pistols/revolvers for her and another customer had the 9mm Steyr. The sights are very easy to adjust to and the grip is comfortable. I think the guy said he got it through a PPT, so I don't know if it was a roster model or if it was from LEO.

Steyr M-A1 Series (9mm & 40)

The most ergonomically comfortable, low bore axis, poly pistol you've never heard of...

If you haven't shot one, you do owe it to yourself to give one a spin.

I also picked up one of the last ones in the country for the wife (Dec 2009) from Dunn's. There were 2 left and I got one shipped out. Lauren Dunn is great to work with and I think they will be carrying the Steyr line again soon.

And another +1 for the M-A1 line... both ours eat ANYTHING you load it up with.

Regards,
Mike

I've always wanted one of those. I held one a while back and it just felt right in my hand.

Engi,
Your link was bad (one too many http://'s). Thanks for the heads up, I had not heard this yet. Happy to report, both mine are WAY out of the serial number ranges they have listed.

For those who are in the recall ranges, do not fear. Steyr has amazing customer support and service.

Mike
