So I don't have pictures, but I did take my Interarms IAC 47 to an indoor range this afternoon. I will say I wad VERY pleased with the purchase.

It was also my first time shooting an AK in non-saiga sporter form. I was anticipating a lot more kick to it, but it wasn't bad at all.

It was only a 25yd range, but I managed a 1" group with 4 shots (for me, that's not that bad) with American Eagle 123gr FMJ.

Overall... I'm glad I bought it, and I would recommend it. Could I get the same results from a Wasr? Probably, but I have a nice rifle that isn't as common place as saiga converts and wasr 10s.

Plus... Atlantic Firearms and Afanas Guns Knives and Ammo in vacaville made the purchase and transfer painless.

Hope this is moderately helpful.

No... it is wood with a dark cherry stain... If I remember correctly, it is a milsurp Bulgarian stock.

Update:

Went out to the range...

shooting at 25 yds. Not stellar, but it is an AK we are talking about. :D

only 4 shots?

I shot more than that... I wanted to show an example of a grouping.

I won't be able to hit the range until after I move out, so until then... my four shot pic will have to do ;)

Oops, I missed the update. I like that group! I need some birthday money to bring my Interarms AK-74 home :o Go rent a dslr and take more photos since you won't be shooting for a while!

Very cool. I've had my eye on their CA Legal Draco AK Pistol for a while. Had good experiences with Atlantic Firearms in the past.

How's your rifle, OP? I'm paying off my IAC-74 next payday then I'll make my own thread after at least 500 rounds.

I am waiting on mine and a friend is picking his up...I look forward to shooting and decking that thing out. 5 Dracos to hand pick from and all were LIKE NEW at DAS. No cants, smooth action, no loose parts, etc.

Congrats, great it lived up to your expectations!

BTW, IAC make good AKs, I'm eyeballing their Polish Tantal, which can be had for about $600 with a chrome lined barrel & dark gray Parkerized finish:

Those Tantals are nice. It was that or the Polish UF...Having over 5k rounds of 7.62x39 made that choice easy. One day.
