View Full Version : Sling with detachable bicep cuff? What do you use?

I've been using your old school M1 Garand canvas sling that you can use as a bicep sling for a few years now. But I was looking for something a little more convenient than the old standby.
I vaguely remember seeing slings with detachable bicep cuffs which is exactly what I need.
This is the closest I could find in a quick google search,
but I just want to know what you all are using. I'm not too familiar with 5.11, but if there is a better quality sling out there for a better price I'm all ears.

What type of sling are you looking for?
For a match sling, I have a Brownell's Competitor's Plus (ran me $65 total) and it's a very nice 1907 black leather sling. Made in USA, great craftsmanship, it is sturdy and comfortable and slings up great in my match M1A.

If you want to shoot it in Garand matches, you should consider getting the 1907 leather sling. It is much better than the web sling. This is the one I use: http://prostores3.megawebservers.com/turnersling_com/-strse-1/M1907-Military-Rifle-Sling/Detail.bok The Les Tam sling from Hawaii is supposed to be the best: http://www.lestam.com/SR.htm

I already have an M1907 sling for my M1 and M1903 along with the web sling. I just need this modern sling so I can use on my service M16A2 at the unit. I think everyone would look at my funny if I hooked up a 1907 sling to my rifle for BRM :p
Will certainly take a look at that TI sling, thanks again!

The best ... Tab Gear (https://www.riflesonly.com/pro-shop/tab-gear-elite-sling.html).
