So, in attempting to put together a .308 AR. i just want to run my parts list by you guys to see if i have any compatibility issues and what not. please post any suggestions or changes i should make to the rifle.

my first question was will that gas block work with that barrel, because some people have said you have to get the DPMS block which is ridiculously priced.

Try pricing JSE surplus for some of those parts.

Midway is usually more than other places....FYI. Very convenient tho.

best of luck to you, i have seen the .308 market dry up since the damn TM group buy, but check out the parts section, you might find a deal.

yea, thanks for the tip on JSE, they have great prices. though i did find out that i do have to use the DPMS SASS gas block or the gas tube won't be high enough. Do y'all have any recommendations on any other 308 barrels that don't require a 90 dollar gas block?

Just a heads up, your BCG information is incorrect. What you have listed is just the carrier. The whole BCG is $220.

This gas block will work with the SASS barrel:

Rainer arms has some great barrels in 16", 18" or 20" lengths. Here is there 18"
