I forgot the name of it but i think it started with an L, like Lee something I cant remember, they were fairly new and got some good reviews. anyone have any idea?

well either way, looking for a basic red dot for an AR that gets shot maybe 8 times a year. nothing fancy but dont want anything cheap like tapco, NcStar, etc...

suggestions?

Primary Arms are very popular red dots that can hold zero on real rifles but cost Airsoft prices. They are not something you would go into battle with, but are a great addition to your sporting, training or plinking rifle.

Lucids are good but they weigh almost a pound. Take a look at smaller lighter red dots, my carbine with rails was almost pushing 9+lbs with a hvy red dot. Decided to go with lighter 5oz or less red dots.

Check out the Vortex Sparc. Its a great little red dot for a nice price. I've used it on AR's as well as a 10/22. Perefct for plinking around but you also get a doubler for a little more help at those smaller targets. Comes with a riser designed for an ARs optical center and a low mount as well. Its a great quality sight especially for the money:

Our Micro Dot with riser would fill hat role very well. Killfash version shown but available without.
