What kind of mount do I need to put a red dot sight on my Glock?

Some RDSs come with inserts that replace the rear sight. My G34 with a Deltapoint:
Another option is something like a Hunter:
I've got one on an XD9. Works fine, but the sight line is noticeably higher than the stock sights.
Another option is to have your slide milled out for an RDS:

slides into the rear sight dovetail. works with the fastfire 2.

Glock Store has one that would work.

They used to sell a metal one, which I have in this photo. I think they are out of stock...you might call them.
Be well, Bob

If I were to put a RDS on my G20LS, it would have to be on something like oceanbob's mount. I was considering a carver hunter at one point. I can't say from personal experience, but I have heard that the slide/dovetail mounted RDS's won't hold up long with a 10mm. A couple guys on Glocktalk had the sight snap off and hit them in the face after a couple hundred rounds. The 10mm isn't a 44mag, but it sure as hell isn't a 9mm either. Just something to think about.

glockstore.com definately has the cheaper option with the rail adapter compared to sending in the gun to have the slide cut for a red dot sight. Bowietactical is where I would send it without question if you want to go the expensive route.
