I just got done upgrading my 1911's for the first time and it was a lot easier then I thought. It took me some time fitting everything but it was worth it to see how the gun goes together and how it works together.

I added the following to both guns:
-Wilson Combat drop in grip safety
-Ed Brown trigger
-Cylinder & Slide TiN coated hammer and sear pins
-Colt XSE hammer
-Rubber finger grooves

Before
Colt 38 Super

I would have left the 38super how it was. But nice mods. I am glad you did it yourself. Nothing is worse than paying someone to do something you can do yourself.

Looks real nice

Looks real nice

I still have the originals and they drop right back in. I went with the beaver tail for steel challenge or I would have kept it stock.

That beavertail looks great. Never knew a drop in part would look that good. Much cheaper than having the frame cut and its reversible. Very nice.

Just add some novak sights and you'll be done!

I like the grip inserts.
