When the lights go out, you will be attacked by a group of Zombies — using your squad car doors for cover, draw and engage the Zombies with a couple of rounds as they show themselves...

I feel ready. I don't know about everyone else because there are still some people out here who don't believe that zombies are real. Obviously they don't know that Left 4 Dead, The Walking Dead, and every George Romero movie were based on real life events.

I agree. I have told people that the "Zombie Apocalypse" is going to hapen. Here's my thoughts on the matter:
The Government was messing with some type of chemical weapons. It breached their containment/safety protocals. They cannot come out and publicly admit to what happened (National Security), so they have been covertly informing us that the "Zombie Apocalypse" is upon us. How? By the increasing number of "Zombie Apocalypse" games, books, and movies. They have been giving us the tools to prepare. People, arm youselves and prepare!

Oh yea of little faith. btw, throw that AR away. A shotgun is the ultimate zombie repellant. An AR will just tickle them. :p

Yep, they're here already. Good thing is that the vast majority of them are over on the East Coast and are usually localized in a relatively small area. Bad thing is that it's DC...

I'm gonna respectfully disagree. It's all about shot placement. You could blow a zombie's leg off with a shotgun and it will still keep coming. You could blow a hole through its torso and it will still keep coming. You blow its head off and sure, end of problem BUT you could alo shoot it in the head with a target arrow and have the same effect.
There is no arguing that a shotgun is effective BUT, all else being equal and IMO, both a shotgun and shotgun ammo are too heavy and bulky. If you had only enough room to store one gun and ammo OR had to run and had to deal with running and gunning with that weapon and carrying only that amount of ammo that you could personally carry while remaining mobile, I think a .223/5.56 based weapon is a good choice. I'd even choose a .22 based weapon (e.g. Ruger 10/22) over a shotgun... :p

Lots of creatures are real. I spent the last 20 years of my career working the SF Bay Area Special Unit 2. There seem to be more zombies than other type of links out there. This type of training is a good way to acclimate the rest of the LEO community to the truth.:D

I agree. Shotgun to heavy and bulky. Only good for CQB,when you might have to make a quick escape.
