View Full Version : Who is attending the Corona 210 this weekend? (Sept 17-18)

09-14-2011, 2:45 PM
There are a bunch of posts all over CG forums for this event where a few people have mentioned they are going. I thought I'd start a centralized thread just to get an idea of who might be there.

This will be my first Appleseed and I am really excited about it and about meeting other calgunners. I'm attending both days and will be shooting my Marlin 795 with Tech Sights.

Post up!

Anyone in San Diego who want to carpool? I plan on going just for Saturday.

I'll be there!

Just about everybody's going to be there... Our line will be full, and we'll have about half the SoCal instructor corps too. I'll be leading Group 7.

I'm there! Can I please request Group 7 as rocketman? This will be my first Appleseed also, check your PM dtjester.

Just FYI, we will have room for some walk-ons. The range is huge, I'm sure you can squeeze you in.

You can talk to the nice folks at check-in for group assignments. All of our instructors are good, though. The other group leads are AS Minuteman, Laylopro, V, Dano, Freeman, and Justin. Those first four plus SavageShootr and Camljr (who will also be there, doing bigger and better things) taught me everything I know... and the other two were my "classmates." No slackers on this team!

I'm going, first one for me.

I'm busy Saturday, I tried to change schedules but no way to get out of it.
I hope to make it there on Sunday.
It will be nice to see everyone even if I don't get to shoot.

Can I bring a walk on minor who is not my child? Is there a waiver I can print out ahead of time for their parent to sign and just bring it with? I'd hate to bring a kid and them not be able to shoot,,

You will sign a liability waiver for the child which assumes you have the authority to do so.

So as far as RWVA and its lawyers are concerned, were covered so you are good to go. To cover yourself you should have some kind of note from the parents/guardians putting you in charge and have emergency contact info.

As of close of registration we have 155 pre-registered shooters, 142 on Saturday and 121 on Sunday.

We get a fair number of walk-ons at most events, early walk-ons will walk-on until the sign-in shows us full after which you will be wait-listed and then admitted in arrival order when registration closes and we know how many no shows there were.

This will be a busy shoot so make sure your arrive on time or early to assure your place. Registration is officially 8:30 to 9:00 both days but we'll be ready from 8:00 onwards.

I signed the whole family up for Sunday (6 of us). Then we got word of something else we need to do Sunday with the Cub Scouts (including free tix to Padres game). So...there will be 6 less people there on Sunday.
