I did an NRA First Steps rifle class this morning at Reed's in Santa Clara where Bill Tidwell was the instructor. It was a great time. After class I purchased a 10/22 carbine 1151. It will go well with the 22/45 I just got out of jail Sept 7th.

Interesting part of the class was when I was firing an AR style 22. The smell of the exhaust gases brought me back to the days I used to fire my M16 and M60 in the early 70's. Fortunately I was stationed in Germany fighting the cold war so no one was shooting back at the time. :)

Was it S&W MP 15-22? Fun to shoot! You'll have fun with your 10-22!

Yeah,, rimfire's are very addictive, its tough to walk by a nice 10/22 at a gunshow without buying it. My first rifle was a 5 digit 10/22 and now it has 4 roomies as well as a few bolt action .22 from CMP!

It might have been. I should have paid more attention to the make. I was having too much fun shooting it!
